Yes, most people (in Democratic Party circles anyway) don't seem to want to discuss the steep hill a Black woman would have to climb to get elected Pres. Joe--unfortunately--is the only candidate at the moment who can pull together a coalition of the Black vote on one hand and some segments of the white working class vote on the other via unions and such who might otherwise have gone "populist" with Trump/Vance. Could Kamala hold that coalition? I don't know. But with Trump on the other side, now is not the best time to run an experiment to find out.
