Well, the answer to what I am getting at, both in "sold a lie" and in the part where I said I doubt many of the Moms are aware of how they are being manipulated is this: Nobody chooses to believe in a lie, technically literally speaking. The point is that they don't recognize they are "lies" in the first place. Yes, there have to be buyers to the sellers. But, after all, PT Barnum was right wasn't he? And that is precisely what smart nefarious people take advantage of. To great success. Which is what makes the present circumstances in America so very frightening and alarming.
