Quite true. However, and I don't mean to sound like a conspiracy theorist, though that is technically precisely what I am proposing....but somehow my intuition envisions some Federalist Society billionaire member, with his own private library in one of his mansions, complete with things like Oscar Wylde's "De Profundis" and perhaps Judith Brown's "Immodest Acts: the Life of a Lesbian Nun in Renaissance Italy" etc. ...In other words, a complete hypocrit, who is funding this assault, and writing up these nonsensical book banning lists to funnel down to Moms for Whatever, to further the overall political agenda of the American Oligarchs somehow.

Not unlike Gingrich, a pathetically amoral, 3-time divorced jerk, pretending to be pro-life to further a grander and more terrible agenda that had little to nothing to do with abortion at all.

LOL. Reading what I just wrote, I suppose that would all make a good jacket description of a book, eh? Would love to be the investigative journalist who pursues such a book, but I have neither the time nor skills. I do have intuition and the ability to speculate, however.

Sorry if I went wildly beyond your specific article, but I have been thinking alot about all this book banning nonsense myself...and I smell a grander conspiracy, where this is a feint to divert us.

Or maybe I'm just getting especially paranoid in my old age. LOL
