I was reading Mary Trump's book (and she has training in psychology) and she mentioned the term sociopath. That caused me to Google "traits of a sociopath" and the following resulted:

Lack of empathy for others.

Impulsive behavior.

Attempting to control others with threats or aggression.

Using intelligence, charm, or charisma to manipulate others.

Not learning from mistakes or punishment.

Lying for personal gain.

Ahem, cough, cough, cough.
