I suppose in one sense, I can see Vance as being dangerous. But on the other hand... honestly, every time he comes up in a discussion, it is hard for me not to start laughing. He has the political skills, warmth and charisma of a turtle (no insult meant to turtles). Whatever else we may think about Trump, he has some magical personality hold on people, like a hypnotist or something. Nobody, and I mean nobody else in Trump world has that. If Vance runs in 2028, good luck to him; I think he would get as many votes as a week-old moldy donut would get. But we shall see.

If Trump keels over from one too many cheeseburgers and sodas, I'm still not too scared of JD taking the helm. Who is afraid of JD? When Trump is gone, all of a sudden, Republicans with residual morals and residual intelligence in the House and Senate (there are a few) will be liberated. The little munchkins in munchkin land liberated when the orange-skinned witch is dead. They will--with a song and dance-- tell JD where he can go stick it. Just my view of the case.
