I like that phrase "above the fray." As an affectation and conceit, I do see that a lot in current self-described "undecided voters" these days. They are not in fact "undecided voters" to my eyes, but seem more like people looking down their nose at the rest of us--"above the fray" in the worst sense of the phrase. At least that is the impression I get from them.

In any case, thanks for sharing your insights from canvassing. And I think you are right, that the angle to take is to simply ask people aren't they sick of the nastiness? Yes. Love is what we need. Thanks for commenting.
