Hit the nail on the head with the Taliban comparison.

Everyone remember when some right-wing folk were running around with their hair on fire claiming that Obama (whom they were sure was a secret Muslim -- dark skin and his middle name were sufficient proof, apparently) and Dems were going to impose "sharia law?" Joke is on us, cuz it turns the radical Right was plotting all along to impose Christian law. Alito and Friends opened the door and now they are now falling all over themselves in their excited stampede to do so, and not just with abortion but with everything. They don't even feel the need to be sneaky anymore about it all being a Christian Dominionism agenda. Texas just passed a law to require the Ten Commandments be displayed "prominently" in every PUBLIC SCHOOL classroom (!). Gee, great idea (my sarcastic voice). Maybe if they print those Ten Commandments on a big bullet proof shield, it might save a few kids from the next mass shooting if they can duck behind it quick enough. Might save a few lives, eh? (broke the sarcasm meter)
