Excellent and insightful post. What you have written about here is exactly what should be the number one subject under discussion and talked about on the front pages of newspapers all over this country, from the New York Times right on down to the local hometown tribune. But instead, all the oxygen is being sucked out of the room by Democrats crying "Impeach Trump!"....focused on one of the most obnoxious trees in the forest, and blind to how HUGE the entirety of the forest really is. At least January 6 was, perhaps, a bit of a wake-up call to some. But my greatest fear is that the many people living comfortable lives (comfortable within white privilege) will soon get distracted by the next shiny object, or worse, think to themselves after Jan 20th, "well, Biden is President now, so everything is going to be okay." No, it is not going to be okay, as you so rightly point out.

January 6 was not a culmination, it was the opening kick-off of what will be years of violent deadly domestic terrorism yet to come. More people need to read what you have written. More people need to wake up.
