Ahhh, yes, I was a "late discovery" too! Though as a kid, a school counselor told my parents she thought I might be autistic, my parents thought that was nonsense.
It wasn't until my early 40s, as I was reading about Aspergers and went down the list of characteristics going "check" "check" "check" "yep, that's me, check" "check"....that I went "wait a minute....!!!" Later got a mental health counselor and she confirmed the diagnosis.
Then I researched more, and learned sooooo many girls and women who are autistic just fly under the radar through life. Anyway, nice to meet you Lynn.
