A fair point about the games all politicians play. However, I think a debate could be had on which is worse. The traditional political tap dance or flat out lies told as flat out lies and repeated a million times... so that they become "truth."

The former can be combatted, and fairly easily, the latter cannot. Just ask the people of Russia, Hungary, Turkey...
