A couple years ago, I was a member of (and briefly a Moderator for) an online community for bisexual women (it since has folded for financial reasons, but fun while it lasted). That forum made no distinction between cisgender and transgender, all women were welcome. As a moderator, I promptly booted anyone who was, shall we say, argumentative about that.

There really was no problem and then all of a sudden we started getting new members joining posting the most vile anti-trans garbage you can imagine. It was out of the blue and it became a flood. It turned into wack-a-mole, booting out these obnoxious people . It appeared to be an organized online collection of cisgender LGB trolls who had made it their mission in life to be a coordinated online attack mob against trans people. (I would boot each one of them out with a terse parting message: "Get a life!")

It burst my bubble of naivete to discover that there were cisgender LGB so idiotic, mean-spirited and short-sighted as to devote time out of their day to cut off their nose to spite their face.
